As we continue to expand our work, we need fresh minds to spice things up and so we look to our community to join our committee and be part of the action!
MSLA was created to strengthen the Sri Lankan community in Melbourne, not just through events, but through connection, leadership, and real impact.
What we’re building goes beyond socials and gatherings.
MSLA is a platform for:
Developing the next generation of leaders
Supporting initiatives locally and back home
Creating meaningful community experiences

Being part of MSLA has pushed me outside my comfort zone and into experiences where I have grown both professionally and personally. Every project and event challenged me to think better, execute better and represent something greater. I have grown as a person and continue to grow within MSLA.

"After joining MSLA I just feel more of a connection to Sri Lankan people around me and more immersed in my culture and feel super grateful to help and embrace Sri Lankan culture here in Melbourne "

Joining MSLA allowed me to reconnect with my culture while building confidence and forming connections with some incredible people. Being part of the committee pushed me to perform at my best and showed me how ideas turn into reality through collaboration. MSLA has truly been an inspiring experience for me, and I strive to continue contributing to create a positive impact.

Being a part of the MSLA committee has genuinely had such a positive impact on my life. Through meeting like minded people and pushing myself to be lead in the ways that I know I can, I’m learning so much about my culture and community.

Being part of MSLA helped me find a group of like minded Sri Lankan youth who are passionate about bringing the Sri Lankan community together in Melbourne.

As someone who lives, breathes and loves the Lankan culture. I feel blessed to be in an organisation that puts the representation of Sri Lanka first. In my time at MSLA I have seen that everyone in MSLA are proud to be Sri Lankan and enjoy all that Lanka has to offer genuinely and wholeheartedly.
