Available Roles:

Events Co-Director

Co-leads the planning and execution of all MSLA events. Manages logistics, timelines, and team coordination to deliver high-energy, well-run experiences that people won’t forget.

Media Co-Director

Co-leads MSLA’s digital presence and brand identity. Oversees content, social media, and storytelling to amplify our impact and keep the community engaged year-round.

Sponsorship Co-Director

Builds and manages partnerships that power MSLA’s growth. Secures sponsors, maintains relationships, and ensures mutual value across events and long-term initiatives.

Charity and Culture Co-Director

Leads initiatives that celebrate Sri Lankan heritage and drive meaningful impact. Oversees cultural programs and charitable efforts locally and back home, ensuring MSLA stands for something bigger than just events.

2. What types of roles can I apply for?

MSLA offers a range of leadership and volunteer roles, including:

Executive positions (President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer) - Elected at AGM

Co-Directors

Subcommittee members

Event volunteers

Available roles may vary depending on the intake period.

3. Are these paid positions?

No. MSLA roles are volunteer-based.
Members contribute their time and skills to build community impact, develop leadership experience, and grow their network.

4. Who is eligible to apply?

Eligibility may vary depending on the role, but generally applicants should:

- Be of Sri Lankan background

- Be based in Melbourne

- Fall within the age range of 18-23

- Be willing to commit time and contribute positively

Specific criteria will always be listed within each role description.

5. Do I need prior experience?

Not necessarily.

Relevant experience is valued, but MSLA prioritises:

- Initiative

- Accountability

- Team mindset

- Passion for community

Some roles may require specific skill sets (e.g. media production, financial oversight, sponsorship relations).

6. Can I apply for more than one role?

Yes. You may express interest in multiple roles.
Final placement will be based on organisational needs and best fit.
